Construction of the first phase of Elevate Townhomes is nearing completion on a bluff overlooking the Raccoon River and downtown Des Moines.

When completed, the development will include three three-level rectangle-shaped buildings, each with six units that will feature large windows and patios that provide a panoramic view of downtown Des Moines and the Iowa Capitol.

Each unit will have 1,550 square feet of space, a tuck-under two-vehicle garage, two bedrooms and space for an office. Stairs will connect the three levels.

The units are expected to sell for $425,000 each, developer Adam Sieren, owner and founder of Premier Construction, said.

The development is located at 550 Indianola Ave. in Des Moines.

Construction of the first phase of the townhouses is expected to be completed by early summer.

Sieren and his business partner are also purchasing property at 508 and 520 Indianola Road where 11 row house units are planned.

“The views from all of these units are going to be spectacular,” Sieren said. “At night, you’ll be able to see the fireworks from Principal Park. And when the soccer stadium is built, you’ll be able to see that, too.

“It’s pretty cool.”
